Thursday, June 13, 2019 – Sudbury – Collège Boréal
The Collège Boréal Alumni Golf Tournament has become an established tradition.
On Wednesday, June 12, 2019, one hundred or so golfers took to the greens of Sudbury’s Timberwolf Golf Club for the third annual edition of the college’s Alumni Golf Tournament.
The 2019 edition was a success, allowing participants to build relationships between community partners, local employers and young graduates, while fondly reminiscing about their shared experiences – recent or not – as members of the Boréal family.
Swings for studies
The goal of the alumni golf tournament is to raise funds for bursaries that facilitate access to post-secondary education in Ontario. Collège Boréal and the Boréal Foundation believe that the lack of financial resources should never be a barrier to post-secondary studies.
Collège Boréal’s Alumni Association recognizes the role of education as a key factor in the province’s economic development and is committed to supporting students who are determined to successfully complete their education.
In 2018-2019, the Foundation awarded more than 2500 bursaries with a total value of over $1.6 million.
